Kinetic studies and performance analysis of Indonesian rice husk pyrolysis

Abstract Rice husk is abundantly available biomass in Indonesia and it can be a potential source of high-value energy source. In the present work, pyrolysis rice was subjected to various temperature used as method produce bio-oil. The decomposition profile examined at different heating rates (10, 20, 30, 40°C/min) using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) method. kinetics were evaluated three kinetic models: Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS), Ozawa-Flynn-Wall (OFW), Coats-Redfern (CR). activation for KAS, OFW, CR centered 251.62 kJ/mol, 253.32 33.92 respectively. Varying with conversion observed, which reveals that processes through complex reaction. production bio-oil from studied conditions (300, 400, 500, 600°C). Results showed gas products increase higher temperature. highest yield produced 600°C 46.3 grams (37%-wt). specific test density, viscosity, acid value decreased temperatures indicating might lead quality.
